Founded in 1766 Tattersalls is the world's oldest bloodstock auctioneers.

Rowley’s quarterly Antiques, Fine Art and Decorative Furnishings sales are held at the prestigious Tattersalls Sale Ring, in Newmarket, Suffolk.  Tattersalls is the world’s oldest bloodstock auctioneers, dating back to 1766.

Because the majority of the items included in the sales come from private sources these auctions present a rare opportunity to find objects which are new to the market. These sales include collectors' items and works of art, clocks, silver and silver plate, jewellery and objects of vertu, pottery and porcelain, glassware, pictures, prints and engravings, furniture and furnishings. The catalogues are promoted and marketed worldwide and the sales attract regional, national and international buyers.

The Antiques, Fine Art and Decorative Furnishings sales normally take place on a Tuesday. Viewing is on the preceding Sunday from 10.00am–1.00pm, on the Monday and Tuesday from 9.00am–5.00pm, Wednesday 9.00am–10.00am. Sales commence at 10.00am.

Catalogues are available online about three weeks before each sale. Printed catalogues can be purchased from our main office in Ely about two weeks before the sale or during viewing or on the sale day at Tattersalls.

Potential buyers have the opportunity to buy in person, by telephone, live through the internet or leave commission bids.
