Newmarket Sale Ring
Rowley’s are most fortunate to have the use of Tattersalls’ purpose built sale ring in Newmarket for their quarterly high profile auctions of fine art and antiques.
Tattersalls, Europe’s leading bloodstock auctioneers of racehorses, have been located in Newmarket since the late 1800s. Bloodstock auctions are held here eight times each year, attracting an audience from around the world.
Directions to the Newmarket Sale Ring
Travelling from the West
Approaching Newmarket from the West you will arrive at the large roundabout beside the July Racecourse with a large bronze statue of a rearing horse at the centre. Continue into Newmarket passing the town sign on your left. You will pass a 'Total' petrol station, also on your left, as you begin to enter the High Street. Opposite the Memorial Hall (on your left) and before you reach the main Post Office (on your right) you must turn right into The Avenue. Proceed for 0.2 miles before turning right up the hill into Tattersalls' car park and you will see the Sale Ring in front of you.
Travelling from the East
Approaching Newmarket from the East on the Bury Road you will pass a 'BP' petrol station on your left hand side. Arriving soon after that at the Clock Tower, which is in effect a roundabout. Proceed straight on, entering the High Street from the East end. You will pass Waitrose (on your left), the Horse Racing Museum (also on your left). Just after the main Post Office (on your left) and in line with the Memorial Hall (on your right) you must turn left into The Avenue. Proceed for 0.2 miles before turning right up the hill into Tattersalls' car park and you will see the Sale Ring in front of you.
